Infrared Sauna VS Red Light!
I wanted to share my thoughts on the benefits and differences I’ve noticed between infrared saunas and red light therapy rooms, since I’ve tried both recently.
For me, the infrared sauna was amazing when I was sick with the flu… it really helped ease my symptoms, especially body aches and congestion. The deep heat feels detoxifying and supports circulation, which makes sense for why it gave me relief.
On the other hand, the red light therapy room gave me a completely different experience. Instead of that deep sweat, it was more calming and soothing. I felt really relaxed afterwards, almost like my nervous system had a reset. From what I understand, red light works more on a cellular level for skin health, inflammation, and mood, while infrared focuses more on heat, detox, and circulation.
Both are great in their own ways! I see infrared as more of a “healing and recovery” tool, and red light as a “rest and recharge” therapy.
Has anyone else tried both? I’d love to hear how your experiences compare!
